John Weywell drops me in it again.

When we got back from the photo-shoot John Weywell said

“well that’s quite good, but I think it would be better if you did the waterslide at the end of the season playing the guitar.

I played “Autumn Leaves” to calm me down beforehand, then played and sang “Warning” by Green Day for the trip itself.

Thanks for the suggestion John!

It made the papers- if anyone has a link to one of the reports I’ll add it to the photo 🙂

On the piste with Catherine Pata and Maude

My first photo shoot.
Olivier and I spent the day skiing around Flegere with Catherine and Maude and playing the guitar. We were all dressed in Victorian costume so that they could shoot a storyline for their photography degrees.
I don’t have a link to their portfolio, but they kindly did some publicity photos and sent them to us.

First gig as a skiing guitarist

I blame John Waywell.
Amanda, Olivier and I (collectively “Le Mot”) were asked to play at a mountain refuge where it was strictly ski in and ski out on gnarly black runs.
I was discussing with John how to get the equipment in and out and he said
You absolutely have to ski in playing the guitar.

So I did.

By the time I’d negotiated the Italian bowl I’d drawn quite a crowd and the gig went really well.
2 photography students who’d followed me down asked us to do a photo shoot the next day……..photo 8

Recording Parisian Living

IMGP0841 John's Drumkit

We dismantled the beds and moved them out and turned the basement into a recording studio for a few days so that Parisian Living could record the Bass and Drums for their new album “Massive in a Parallel Universe”.

We got much more done than any of us expected- I even played some guitar and keys which made it to the final cut.

We also had a great jam session on our wedding anniversary. Thanks guys!

Here’s one of my favourite tracks.
